Our Past
On January 8, 2011, Johns
Creek Presbyterian Church (JCPC) celebrated its sixteenth
anniversary. Our church family was chartered as "The Church
of the Hills" in January 1995 as a new church development of the
Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. At the time of its chartering,
the presbytery deeded the church, debt free, 12.5 acres of
beautiful rolling hills in the tri-county area of Fulton, Forsyth,
and Gwinnett counties. Two more acres were purchased in
2003. One hundred charter members were placed on the
rolls of the church on the day our charter was granted.
Today, total adherents number more than 700, including adults and
children. Two construction projects have been completed since
the day of chartering, including a chapel which seats 300, a
fellowship hall, a two-story education building, welcome center,
library / bookstore / gift shop, parlor, offices,
resource rooms, and three modular trailers.

From the beginning, The Church of
the Hills, now JCPC, has been a mission-minded congregation,
providing funds and volunteers in support of a dozen different
agencies which address spiritual, emotional, and physical
needs of persons, both in the local area and in global mission
fields.
