Women's Small Groups

The Knit Wits
Mondays 10:00 am - 11:30 am
We make caps, booties and blankets for newborns, shawls for special people and patients in hospice and sweaters that are distributed to needy children all over the world. We lift our recipients up in prayer while we are knitting and then each completed item is prayed over before sending. We invite anyone who knits to join us.

The Spirits
Wednesdays 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Includes going out for lunch together.
This is a lively group of women learning and growing in Christ together with an emphasis on Christian fellowship. This Spring we will be studying The Fitting Room: Putting on the Character of Christ by Kelly Minter.

Tuesday Evening Women's Bible Study
Tuesday evenings 7:00-8:00 pm
A group that is intentional about deepening their relationship with Jesus Christ through Bible study. Adult women of all ages and stages of spiritual growth are welcome. They are currently studying, Phillip Yancey's, "What's So Amazing About Grace?"

Wednesday Evening
Wednesdays 6:30 - 7:30 pm
This new group is studying Promises of God by Sheila Walsh. We use a DVD one week and discussion the following week. All are welcome!

Friday Seekers
Fridays 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
We meet every other week in one of our homes.  This winter we will study, "He Speaks to Me" by Priscilla Shirer.  We will meet every other week, with a few exceptions.

Friday Keepers
Fridays 10:00 am - 12:00 noon
Includes a light lunch together on site.
This group brings together women from JCPC as well as the community for in-depth Bible study and warm Christian fellowship.

Hills' Angels
1st Thursday of the month at 12:00 noon
This is a daytime women's book discussion group. In addition to book discussions, this group works three service projects throughout the year - all are fun projects and easy to manage with this enthusiastic group of mostly retired women.

Night Angels
3rd Thursday of the month 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Night Angels is a women's book discussion group covering some religious based books and some that are not.  This Spring we will read books such as: Beneath the Marble Sky by John Shors and Called Out of Darkness by Anne Rice.  This group is a relaxed contemporary literature discussion group with an open format which leads us to examine our lives and our faith in modern society. We enjoy reading, talking, offering camaraderie and support, and pursuing faith based intellectual discussions.

Preschool Mom's Group
Tuesdays at 10:00 am
This is a newer small group of mom's with Preschool children. They will begin meetings in 2012 on January 31 and will study, Real Women, Real Faith: Vol. 2 by Sherry Harney.
